Submission Guidelines

Speak Your Truth Magazine offers a bi-monthly online edition, with a special quarterly edition. Each quarterly edition will have a specific theme and will only publish works that follow it. When submitting your work, please make sure to add a short author bio and image at the end of your piece. Please also be sure to indicate if you are submitting for a themed edition.

What Can I submit?

Speak Your Truth currently accepts creative non-fiction personal essays, poetry, and art that expresses your true self.

Can I send Simultaneous Submissions?

While Speak Your Truth does allow for simultaneous submission, we ask that you please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.

When Can I Submit?

We are open for submissions for our regular bi-monthly

Can I Submit More Than Once?

We ask that you only submit one piece per issue for consideration. If you are submitting to our themed editions, please make sure your piece fits the quarterly theme.

How Long Can My Work Be?

We accept any written work under 3,500 words and any art collection that consists of less than 10 pieces.

Can I submit Previously Published Work?

We do not accept previously published work at this time.
